Empower teens this #Halloween season by posting positive messages about staying drug free! #ChalkTheWalk with @SADDnation and @NIDAnews and share photos of your creations with #Chalkoween. #NIDAteen

For Red Ribbon Week 2020, SADD has partnered with NIDA (National Institute on Drug Abuse) to host #Chalkoween, an event to promote drug-free lives. This week, we encourage chapters to decorate their schools, driveways, and sidewalks with chalk messages to promote a positive lifestyle, free from alcohol and other drugs. If your chapter has a social media channel, please feel free to use some of the graphics attached or use these statistics for your messaging. The messages are positive, focusing on social norming behaviors and the fact that most students do not misuse or abuse drugs. Feel free to use them as you see fit, in whatever way works best for you. ( If you don't have a school chapter or are in a distance learning community, start a virtual chapter for your household at SADD.org!)

When you participate in the fun activity of #Chalkoween and #ChalkTheWalk, be sure to take lots of pictures next week and tag us on social media @CaliforniaSADD. We'd love to promote your chalk-art on our social media.
